AdminStudio 2025 | 29.0 | Application Isolation Wizard

Application Isolation Wizard is included with AdminStudio Professional and Enterprise Editions.

When using the command-line options for the Application Isolation Wizard, you can specify an INI file for configuration using the -i parameter. This file should take the following format:

Each configuration corresponds to a user interface setting in the Application Isolation Wizard, as described below:

ManifestsUse manifests for isolation option on Isolation Method panelSet this value to 1 to use manifests. Manifests only work with Windows XP.
IsolatedComponentsUse Windows Installer isolated components for isolation on Isolation Method panelSet this value to 1 to use Windows Installer isolated components.
CertificateFileCertificate File field on the Digital Signature tab of the Advanced Options dialog boxProvide the name and location of the CER file.
SPCFileSPC File field on the Digital Signature tab of the Advanced Options dialog boxProvide the name and location of the SPC file
PVKFilePVK File field on the Digital Signature tab of the Advanced Options dialog boxProvide the name and location of the private key.
CertificateNameCertificate Name in the store field on the Digital Signature tab of the Advanced Options dialog boxProvide the name of the certificate from the certificate store.
TimeStampAssembliesNo corresponding UI settingSet this value to 0 to disable timestamping during shared assembly creation; set it to 1 to enable timestamping. By default, the Application Isolation Wizard uses timestamping if this value is not configured.
AssemblyTypeAssembly Type on the Manifest Options tab of the Advanced Options dialog boxSet this value to 0 to use private assemblies; set the value to 1 to use shared assemblies.
CompanyCompany field on the Manifest Options tab of the Advanced Options dialog boxPut the name of your company in quotes.
DivisionDivision field on the Manifest Options tab of the Advanced Options dialog boxPut the name of your division in quotes.
NewComponentsCreate new component option in Manifest Options tab of Advanced Options dialog boxSet the value to 1 to create a new component for each manifest.
